Jen Charlie

Wellness and Community Programs Coordinator

Sulqtentunaaht (Jen Charlie) is a dedicated community leader from Quw’utsun with deep family roots in Qwamutsun in Quw’utsun, Penelakut, & Tluqtinus. Raised with strong teachings around service, sharing, and caring for community, she has spent much of her life supporting and advocating for Indigenous people through leadership, administration, and community-based work.

Jen brings more than 19 years of management and service experience across a wide range of organizations and departments, including education, health, social development, administration, and citizenship. Her work has always been grounded in helping community members access information, supports, and opportunities, while ensuring that community voices remain heard and valued. She is known for her strong advocacy, relationship-building, and commitment to fair and informed decision-making.

In her role as Wellness & Community Projects Coordinator, Jen supports Lyackson First Nation through community wellness initiatives, member support, project coordination, education-related assistance, and the delivery of programs that reflect community priorities. She is passionate about helping people navigate systems, access resources, and feel supported in ways that are practical, respectful, and community-centred.

Jen is a graduate of Cowichan Secondary and has studied Psychology, Conflict Resolution, and Accounting. She is currently completing her Indigenous MBA at Simon Fraser University. Alongside her professional work, she is also a strong advocate for health and wellness, drawing from her own lived experience to support others with compassion and understanding.
